Here Spartacus and his followers (among which the famous Enomao, Crixo and Gannicus) rebelled against their slavery and destroyed the arena and the Home of Lentulo Batiato (their master).

On the way to Naples make a stop in Mondragone town, at the time of Spartacus known as Sinuessa, here the gladiators occupied the small port of the city to escape from Roman empire. Recent archaeological excavations have brought to light ancient ruins of the old port.

In the famous Tv series, here was where the Cilician pirates betrayed Spartacus by selling him to General Crassus, but in the real story this episode it happened in Lucania region or in the old Apulia (the Puglia region) in the city of Brindisi.

Buffet breakfast at hotel and this morning depart to live one of the most iconic place of Spartacus’ Path: the Mount Vesuvius! But first, your personal driver make a stop on the way in Pompeii, the most visited roman site after the Colosseum in Rome. Meet your tour guide and learn that here everything is intact, brought back to life after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius of 79 A. C. for centuries and centuries of archaeological excavations: houses, shops, squares, brothels and even entire human figures preserved over time thanks to the lava of Vesuvius’ eruption.

Have a great lunch in a typical roman restaurant, immerse yourself in Roman life, taste the typical dishes among gladiators, philosophers and beautiful women, live an experience totally involved in an ancient tavern, dressed as a Roman citizen and let yourself be served by waiters dressed in theme too.

Finally Him, the majestic Mount Vesuvius, here where Spartacus and his gladiators took refuge after leaving Capua, here the rebels clashed with a group of soldiers from the local garrison, who had been sent to meet them to capture them. Although armed only with agricultural tools and knives and spits remedied in the canteen and in the barracks of the gladiators school, Spartacus and his team managed to get the better of them. Once the enemy had been neutralized, the rebels looted their corpses from the fallen Roman soldiers and headed for the shelter of the volcano. Spartaco was then elected to head the rebel group together with the roosters Enomao and Crixio.

Here was born the legend of Spartacus!
